I've come this close to just leaving dA because I was unable to get constructive critiscm on my work. All I'd ever get was "very good" and "Well done", so no -one was telling me where I needed to improve!

Perhaps with a tutorial like this out there, people might try to be more critical and analytical in their comments. Or they'll hound me out for being a rubbish artist. In any case, thanks for posting this well needed and well done tute. :)

BTW- "understand on how to separate them" is grammatically incorrect. There is no need to place "on" when "understand" works as a verb on its own. please dont attack me O.o

I would also include "say something nice, even if you see lot of mistakes, try to see bright side also" . It's more supportive and emotional part, but I think it counts and it is easier to take criticism with spoon of honey :)

I really liked this, the concept doesn't really feel original to me, but i've never actually seen a tutorial or art in general like this, so that taken into concideration, it is original.
You had a few missing commas in the "HOW TO RECIEVE CRITICISM" paragraph, but overall you had correct spelling and grammar, and your sentences flowed.
The use of coloured subheadings worked because they weren't over used, and they helped seperate the sections. I like how you've kept it looking proffesionalish, but added some artistic style to it.

The only thing that confused me was the use of images throughout it all. were they there to break up the text a bit and make it easier to read, or more pleasing to the eye?

I don't have any real negatives for you, so there's nothing in this to help you improve, but I thought I'd put my two cents in anyway. :)

You're welcome! That makes sense, I was thinking it must be something like that. I'm glad you put it there, large blocks of writing put me off reading things, and I liked what you wrote, so it would have been my loss if I hadn't read it. :)
