Here we have a Stunning show of color and style! A truly Beautiful Wonder land by both name and design! I love the richness of the image yet it also has an ominous feel of danger as well as Beauty.
Even as the stunning setting leaves you in awe of its looks, then comes a creature both dark and mysterious to taunt you in your moment of confusion as to where you even are! This is indeed well done in technique and style. Even as Alice ponders her fate in dealing with such a creature the strength of her character still shines through as she looks on not with fear but a look of bold contempt Awesome image!
Omri has created another Alice piece, and it's quite beautiful. The palette hits you immediately; it runs the spectrum of color one expects of Wonderland, but the dark jewel hues gives the beauty a more sinister cast. I'm impressed by how well the palette is unified. The danger of Wonderland is heightened by the tribal Cheshire with its wicked claws, the fanged and skeletal mushrooms and grass that resembles blades. The use of light and shadow is very pleasing. The pale Alice feels right at home. My only suggestion on improving the piece deals mainly with composition. The scene is very busy - not a problem - but I would like to see Alice larger and a more dominant feature. I would also like the background at the end of the path to be less distinct, so as to add more depth to the piece. That said, I did enjoy lingering on this piece and enjoying all the elements. This is a worthy, ambitious offering.
